The Tour of Cambridgeshire is a weekend festival of closed-road cycling events. Road races, Gran Fondo, Sportive, Time Trials, Team Time Trials, family rides, camping, party and much more! To give you a better overview of what’s happening on the racing and riding side, we’ve put together a quick overview of the key event categories. Details of further event categories, such as the Team Time Trial, Luna Ride, Family Fondo and more will follow soon.
It’s a long journey to the UCI rainbow jersey, but the Tour of Cambridgeshire Road Race is the first step. A flat, closed-road course guarantees thrilling racing from start to finish. The Road Race is a UCI qualifying event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. Want to compete against the very best in a thrilling race to the finish line, then this event is for you.

Interested in getting your hands on the most coveted jersey in cycling? The Tour of Cambridgeshire Gran Fondo is also an official qualifier for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. The Gran Fondo is a mass start event and is perfect for those riders who don’t enjoy the tussle of a Road Race, and rather want to ride with friends, family or teammates of different age groups. The event is also suitable for those just starting their amateur racing experiences.
The Gran Fondo is a sell-out event, so enter early to guarantee your place on the start line. Limited entries remain.

Sportive (ToC100, ToC70, ToC50)
The most popular event category at the Tour of Cambridgeshire are the three different Sportive distances. The Sportive allows you to take in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside, enjoy traffic-free roads and soak up the electric event day atmosphere with your friends and family!
There are three Sportive distances; 100-miles, 70-miles and 50-miles. All the routes are flat and fast, giving you the best chance at cracking your personal best or simply enjoying a day out on the bike, soaking up the beautiful scenery.
Whether you’re a complete beginner and want to use one of the Tour of Cambridgeshire Sportives as your 2021 challenge, you need your next opportunity to fundraise for your chosen charity or you’re a sportive expert; the ToC100, ToC70 or ToC50 are the perfect event for you.
The Time Trial is a fully produced, mass participation, time trial run over a sporting circuit of 16.4 miles (26.4km) on fully closed roads. The event is a qualifying event for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, which gives amateur riders the chance to qualify and represent their country.
The start of the Time Trial is indoors at the heart of the EXPO, with a fully produced start area with start ramp, sound and lighting, professional commentary and a countdown clock. Riders are set off every 20 seconds from the start ramp. Additionally, participating riders will have access to a warm-up area with a substantial number of turbos. Professional mechanics are available to set your bike up on the turbos.
The event concludes with a spectacular podium presentation, where the fastest three riders in each UCI Masters Age / Gender Classification will be awarded UCI Gran Fondo World Series winners jerseys, medals and prizes.
The Time Trial is a sell-out event and currently, less than 15 entries remain!

The E-Sportive is a brand new event category coming to the Tour of Cambridgeshire in 2021. It’s time to give everyone, including those who enjoy a day in the E-Bike saddles, an electrifying event to look forward to.
Enjoy a beautiful and picturesque 50-mile route. The route is fully closed to all traffic allowing a stress-free day on your E-Bike. The E-Sportive is a dedicated start-wave in the Sportive, so you’ll be joining thousands of other cyclists taking part in the Tour of Cambridgeshire.
The Rainbow Ride is a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Cycling is a sport for all and we are excited to partner with RS Components and Mermaids UK to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The Rainbow Ride is a brand new element of the Tour of Cambridgeshire. The Rainbow Ride aims to support inclusivity and diversity in society and specifically in sport and the workplace. Our aim is to bring together all walks of life, backgrounds and a diverse community of sexualities and gender-identity based cultures.
